The 2023 CCSA Issues of Substance Conference

After a four-year break from in-person conferences, the Canadian Centre on Substance Use & Addiction returned with its Issues of Substance conference—this time at the Convention Centre in beautiful downtown Vancouver, BC! The event was held from November 20th to 22nd.

At Love With Boundaries, we knew that we needed to be a part of this amazing collaboration of research and ideas in the field of Addiction, Mental Health and Recovery, so we packed up our offices and headed down there for three days to share the work that we do—specifically with the families of people who are struggling with addiction—with the recovery community that was represented at the Issues of Substance conference.

During these three days, our team was able to share the importance of Family Recovery with government agencies, treatment centres and various organizations working in the field of Substance use and Addiction and we also learned a great deal about the work that others are doing in this field.

At Love With Boundaries, we look forward to sharing this knowledge with all of you through the work that we do with families every day—and to see how we can collaborate and cross-refer with other agencies that are doing tremendous work in the field of addiction.

A huge thank you to the CCSA for all the work that they do to bring awareness and change to individuals, families and communities throughout Canada who are struggling with addiction. We very much appreciate the opportunity to have been part of this amazing conference!
